ThermaCool®

Thermage is a unique non-invasive procedure that tightens and renews your skin's collagen. Its unique Capacitive Radiofrequency (CRF) technology safely heats your skin's underlayer and the web of collagen in the inner layer, causing an immediate tightening as well as improved tone and texture. Improvement usually continues and becomes even more noticeable for four to six months following treatment due to new collagen growth. Thermage is usually a one-time procedure. To maintain tighter skin, treatment at approximately 18 month to 2 year intervals may be necessary. Advances with the Thermage procedure include the development of special tips that allow for tightening of sagging eyelids (Eyes by Thermage)and abdomens (Body by Thermage). At MDLSVI, we have upgraded to the ThermaCoolNXT, which is more comfortable for patients. At MDLSVI, we have been using the ThermaCool® since the spring of 2002. Dr. Robert Weiss presented an abstract of our research at the April 2003 meeting of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He continues to lecture extensively in the U.S. and abroad.
