LaViv by Fibrocell
MDLSV is proud to be one of the first practices in the US to debut LaViv®, a revolutionary approach to smoothing wrinkles and nose-to-mouth lines, and fading scars. While most injectable fillers use collagen or hyaluronic acid to smooth wrinkles, LaViv is different. LaViv uses your body’s own cells to rejuvenate your skin, creating new collagen and boosting the scar-healing process. This means no risk of allergic reactions, no injection of foreign substances, and best of all, fewer treatments necessary to achieve your desired look - one that can last significantly longer than other injectable fillers.Maryland laViv Fibroblast Treatments
The LaViv process is simple. A consultation will determine how you will best benefit from LaViv, whether it is for smoothing forehead lines, frown lines, or crows feet; or helping to heal acne scarring, burn scarring, or other tissue damage. An MDLSV practitioner will take a small sample of cells from behind your ear, and use the Fibrocell process to create new, pure, cells called “fibroblasts”. These are injected back into the problem areas in your skin, where the fibroblasts will help your skin rebuild its very own collagen (for structure), elastin (for tautness), and hyaluronic acid (for thickness).
Since LaViv uses your body’s own healing resources to give your skin a younger appearance, LaViv is not an instant process - it can take from three or four months to get results. But because those results are created by your own body, they can last much longer than conventional fillers. Patients have reported maintaining their youthful look for as many as seven years without further treatment, while conventional fillers require that you refresh your injection every six to twelve months. MDLSV has been instrumental in conducting research on the Fibrocell LaViv process, and with their extensive knowledge of the treatment, are a world-class choice to help your skin regain its natural youthful beauty!
LaViv received FDA approval June 22, 2011 to treat the appearance of moderate to severe nasolabial fold wrinkles (smile lines) in adults. Please call our office for more information at 410-666-3960.
